3Lovely hotel but where are the smiles??Stewart - Feb 4, 2017
Nice room but a little smaller than my previous stay. Good hotel in general but the whole staff needs a lesson in smiling. Also they have a great knack of walking around looking busy but actually doing nothing. Difficult to get served most of the time unless you bellow across the room.. will probably look elsewhere in future.

A classy and full of character hotel, offering an oasis of peace and comfort. 300 years of history and great facilities are their recipe for offering you the perfect holiday and the best what Canaries has to offer. Yes, it's not a regular hotel like so many others, but it's character, all the facilities and the really helpful staff will make your holiday unforgettable. Will definitely return and reccommend!

-My opinion about this hotel Santa CatalinaMichael - Oct 16, 2014
The hotel is good but your service is pathetic. Firstly you caused me no end of problems by endeavouring to communicate in Spanish, as a result I was embarrassed at the hotel as you apparently gave them problems re payment which I had made to you.. Never again, if I se Destinia I will find alternate accommodation.

3.2Impresiones del hotel Santa CatalinaWendy - Mar 2, 2012
Despite the reformas the Santa Catalina is still hopelessly old-fashioned and doesn\'t feel at all like a 5 star hotel.
The staff at reception are rude. The information available for foreign tourists is minimal despite the fact that when we stayed, most of the guests were foreigners. There are no newspapers, magazines except in Spanish available, and only CNN on the television.
The rooms are large and well maintained and the breakfast is extraordinary well done and generous.
It is an attempt to create an ambiance of luxury, but an unsuccessful one.
The rate we paid thanks to Destinia was very good and there is so little to choose from in Las Palmas!!
I would suggest that you add to your list of restaurants Deliciosa Marta which is in the 2012 Michelin Guide.(Perez Galdos 23. 928 370882. The best restaurant we found in Las Palmas.
